Road Conditions

  • A drive from Broome to Cape Leveque includes about 200 kilometers of unsealed road characterised by corrugations and sandy sections. 

 

  • You will be able to drive to the Dampier Peninsula during this time but access cannot always be guaranteed.  Visit the Main Roads website for updates.

 

  • Allow 3 ½ hours for the drive from Broome to Cape Leveque and please drive carefully.

 

  • A 4WD vehicle is strongly recommended.  Visit 4wdtours website for further details.

 

  • The Cape Leveque road is not suitable for caravans. 

 

  • During periods of wet weather (these generally occur between November and April) it can be impassable and closed at times.
