A drive from Broome to Cape Leveque includes about
200 kilometers
of
unsealed road
characterised by corrugations and sandy sections.
You will be able to drive to the Dampier Peninsula during this time but
access cannot always
be guaranteed.

Allow
3 ½ hours
for the drive from Broome to Cape Leveque and please drive carefully.
A 4WD vehicle is strongly recommended. Visit

The Cape Leveque road is
not suitable for caravans.
During periods of wet weather (these generally occur between
November and April
) it can be
impassable
and closed at times.
